Abstract: A mattress identification system is described having a mattress having a mattress top panel, a mattress foot, a mattress bottom panel and comprising a plurality of foam layers. The system has: a) a twill pattern on the mattress top panel has a first loft comprising essentially parallel straight lines that extends to an upper part of the mattress foot; b) a first fabric portion that covers approximately 2/3 of the mattress foot below the twill pattern that extends to the upper part of the mattress foot; c) a second fabric portion that covers approximately 1/3 of the mattress foot below the twill pattern that extends to the upper part of the mattress foot; and d) a zipper assembly.

Abstract: A temperature-regulating mattress system provides dynamic adjustment of temperature and other parameters throughout a user's sleep cycle to maximize the quality of the user's sleep, Features of the system may include: (a) heating and cooling temperature regulation (with dynamic custom profiles that control humidity and are dual-zone); (b) smart controls (with remotes and apps that learn from users to optimize settings and work with smart home products such as Alexa and interactive lighting systems); (c) comfort (with a mattress that provide the necessary support for its users); and (d) sensors used for temperature and humidity estimation algorithms, control mechanism, and additional inferences from those sensors (pose, enrichment of biometric sensing data, etc.).

Abstract: An endoskeleton elastomer that variably impacts the mattress firmness head-to-toe is described. The elastomer fills voids cut into the foam using contour cutting or spherical cap-shaped cutouts. The elastomer is poured as a hot liquid into the voids, and cools to a solid elastomer. The specific incarnation involves the creation of a set of parallel inclusions at the center of the mattress or a set of spherical cap-shaped cutouts that help prop up the hip area to maintain proper spinal alignment by firming the center of the mattress. The depth, width, shape, spacing, elastomer durometer, and location (both head-to-toe and depth in the mattress) may be varied to impact firmness in any desired manner. The mattress may also include a series of horizontaloriented cutouts that are cut into various portions of the mattress layers. These cutouts may extend along the width of the mattress and may be placed at portions of the top and portions of the bottom of the mattress.
