Abstract: A system and method for retaining an intraocular lens in an annular pouch implanted into a capsular bag of an eye. The annular pouch uses a circular ridge to maintain placement of the lens relative to the eye. Clarity of the capsular bag is retained over time because the pouch fills the capsular bag and prevents a loss of clarity in the capsular bag due to sagging.
