Abstract: Polymer membranes that include a crosslinked poly(vinyl alcohol-co-vinylamine), which membranes are non-porous or are porous with pores having a median pore size of 300 nm or less. Also disclosed are polymer membranes which include a crosslinked poly(vinyl alcohol-co-vinylamine) and which also include a second polyamine wherein the poly(vinyl alcohol-co-vinylamine) and the second polyamine are crosslinked with one another.
