    Abstract: A surgical kit includes a stapling device and a securing ring (600). The stapling device includes a reload including a trocar member and an anvil assembly including an anvil and an anvil shaft detachably couplable to the trocar member of the reload for unitary movement. The securing ring (600) is selectively securable about the anvil shaft. The securing ring has an annular profile defining an aperture (602). The securing ring includes first (620) and second (640) portions and an intermediate portion (660). The first and second portions adjustably overlap each other. The first portion includes a first tab (604). The second portion includes a hook (642). The intermediate portion includes a second tab (662) and defines slots (664) to receive the hook of the second portion. When the first and second tabs are displaced relative to each other, the aperture is transitionable from a first state having a first diameter to a second state having a second diameter.

    Abstract: A surgical access device includes a cannula having a variable length. The cannula may include a shaft assembly including an outer shaft, an intermediate shaft disposed within and longitudinal slidable relative to the outer shaft, and an inner shaft disposed within and longitudinal slidable relative to the intermediate shaft. The shaft assembly is movable between an unextended position, a fully extended position, and a semi-extended position between the unextended and fully extended positions. The cannula may include a shaft having annular folds formed therein. The annular folds are axially movable relative to each other such that the shaft is longitudinally movable between an unextended position and a plurality of extended positions.

    Abstract: An endoscope cleaning device (500) includes a base (550), a battery pack (540), and a pull tab (100). The base includes a cylindrical body (555) defining a canal (518). The battery pack includes a battery (545) and a heating mechanism (528) thermally coupled to the cylindrical body. The pull tab includes a body (102) and an annular seal (126) detachably coupled to the body. The annular seal is in registration with the canal of the cylindrical body. The pull tab is partially received within the battery pack to inhibit electrical communication between the battery and the heating mechanism. The body of the pull tab is removably supported with respect to the base and the battery pack such that when the pull tab is pulled by a user, the annular seal detaches from the body of the pull tab and remains with respect to the cylindrical body to form a fluid-tight seal against an endoscope (10).

    Abstract: A surgical access device includes a cannula and a seal housing. The cannula has a cannula housing and a tubular member that extends from the cannula housing. The seal housing is coupled to the cannula housing. The seal housing has a base and a cover with an instrument seal located between the base and the cover. The cover has an upper cover portion and a lower cover portion with a port extending from the upper cover portion. The port is connectable to a source of vacuum. A chamber with projections and windows is defined in the upper cover portion and is configured to direct fluid towards the port.

    Abstract: An evacuation adapter for use with a surgical access device includes a distal section selectively engageable with a proximal section. The distal section and the proximal section each include a base, an outer ring, and an inner ring. Each base defines a central opening. Each outer ring defines at least one opening. Each inner ring defines at least one opening. The outer ring of the proximal section includes a port. The proximal section is rotatable relative to the distal section between a first position where fluid is able to flow from the central opening of the distal section through the port, and a second position where fluid is blocked from flowing from the central opening of the distal section through the port.
