Abstract: A roller finger follower (10) comprising an elongated body (20) having a first side member (36), a second side member (38), a bracket associated with the body, a roller disposed between the first and second sides of the bracket. The roller defines a shaft orifice therethrough with an elongate hollow shaft (54) extending through the shaft orifice. A locking pin assembly (22) is disposed at least partially within the hollow shaft. The locking pin assembly is disposed at least partially within the hollow shaft. The locking pin assembly is switchable between a first and a second position to decouple and couple the shaft to the body.
