Abstract: Size reduced textiles are co-fed with a fuel into a partial oxidation gasifier. High solids concentrations in the feedstock composition can be obtained without significant impact on the feedstock composition stability and pumpability. A consistent quality of syngas can be continuously produced, including generation of carbon dioxide and a carbon monoxide/hydrogen ratio while stably operating the gasifier and avoiding the high tar generation of fluidized bed or fixed bed waste gasifiers and without impacting the operations of the gasifier. The syngas quality, composition, and throughput are suitable for produce a wide range of chemicals.

Abstract: A process for the production of syngas to make at least one chemical by campaigning the production of syngas from a single gasifier between one or more first feedstock streams to produce a first syngas for a first period of time, and transitioning to one or more second feedstock streams to produce a second syngas for a second period of time, wherein the one or more first feedstock streams contains a solid fossil fuel and the one or more second feedstock streams contain textiles and/or plastics and the amount of textiles and/or plastics fed to the gasifier in the second time period is higher than the amount, if any, of textiles and/or plastics fed to the gasifier in the first time period, and the gasifier is operated at a lower gasification temperature during at least a portion of the second time period than the gasification temperature in the first time period.

Abstract: Chemical recycling facilities for processing mixed plastic waste are provided herein. Such facilities have the capability of processing mixed plastic waste streams and utilize a variety of recycling facilities, such as, for example, solvolysis facility, a pyrolysis facility, a cracker facility, a partial oxidation gasification facility, an energy generation/energy production facility, and a solidification facility. Streams from one or more of these individual facilities may be used as feed to one or more of the other facilities, thereby maximizing recovery of valuable chemical components and minimizing unusable waste streams.
