Abstract: A hydraulic lash adjuster can include: a longitudinal axis; an inner assembly comprising: a check assembly; and a latch pin assembly; an outer body comprising: a body bore; and a first latch receiver formed in the outer body; a bottom cap seated in the outer body; and a lost motion spring biased against the bottom cap and the inner assembly, wherein the inner assembly is configured to travel within a length of the body bore along the longitudinal axis.
