Abstract: The present invention relates to a method (100) for packing one or more animal hides comprising providing (S102) a packaging having a first packaging volume configured to contain one or more animal hides and a volume of gas, providing (S104) the one or more animal hides inside the first packaging volume, sealing off (S106) the first packaging volume from the surrounding environment, and providing (S108) a microorganism growth inhibiting environment inside the first packaging volume compared to the surrounding environment. The present invention further relates to a packaging for packing one or more animal hides.
