Abstract: The invention relates to the technical field of the inverse emulsion polymerization, in particular to a surfactant composition used in the inverse emulsion polymerization, and to the inverse emulsion polymerization process using the composition as well as polymers prepared therefrom. The surfactant composition comprises at least one polymeric surfactant based on polyalkylene oxide and long chain fatty acids and at least one surfactant based on polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid ester.
