Abstract: An anti-theft bag having a locking mechanism to prevent access to at least a main compartment of the bag is provided. The anti-theft bag comprises a body including an extended neck of the main compartment, a first surface, and a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism includes a first engagement member on the first surface and a second engagement member on the extended neck. When the extended neck is folded towards the first surface the first engagement member and the second engagement member can be engaged to prevent access to the main compartment. In some embodiments, the bag includes a strap capable of engaging with the locking mechanism to secure the bag to a fixed object to prevent theft of the bag.
