Abstract: A coupling system between the frame and the leg assembly of a workstation is described. The coupling system can be configured to selectively attach and detach the leg assembly from the frame. The leg assembly can include an adjustment mechanism. The adjustment mechanism, can be configured to adjust the length of the leg. The leg assembly can include a leg coupling feature and the frame can have a frame coupling feature. The leg coupling feature can be configured to engage with the frame coupling feature, for instance to attach the leg to the frame. The workstation can include a latch configured to engage with the leg assembly. Engagement of the latch with the leg assembly can secure a position of the leg with respect to the frame.

Abstract: Embodiments provide a tilt mechanism (200) for tilting an electronic display that includes at least two nested torsion springs (212,230,240) to offset and/or balance the torque generated by a display acting on the tilt mechanism. In some cases a tilt mechanism includes first (112) and second brackets (114) pivotally coupled about a tilt axis (116). First and second springs are wound about a tilt axis such that the first spring is located at least partially within the second spring. The springs engage with the brackets to exert first and second torques between the first and the second brackets. In some cases such tilt mechanisms can be carried by stands, arms, carts, and the like. Methods of tilting electronic displays are also provided.

Abstract: A tablet storage device includes a module on a cart frame that includes a wheeled base. A cart module defines a selectively accessible interior space having multiple storage slots within the interior space for holding tablets. In some cases a tablet storage device holds multiple tablets using two or more modules in a stacked arrangement on a wheeled base. Each module can hold a portion of the multiple tablets within storage slots within an interior space inside the module. The storage slots may have connectors for connecting to tablets, and the cart frame can have a network connection system that is adapted to provide a network connection for each tablet that is connected to one of the connectors. The cart frame may also have a power supply system for charging each tablet that is connected to one of the connectors.

Abstract: Embodiments provide a counterbalancing lift mechanism (100) for raising and lowering an electronic display. The lift mechanism includes a moving bracket (110) in sliding engagement with a support bracket (120). As the moving bracket moves relative to the support bracket, a spring assembly (130) deflects to provide a force to offset the weight of the load. A transition assembly (149) manages the deflection of the spring assembly relative to movement of the moving bracket such that the necessary range of deflection is shorter than the moving bracket's desired range of travel. The lift mechanism also includes a cam assembly (170) to convert the variable force from the spring assembly to a substantially constant force. In some cases the spring assembly, transition assembly, and cam assembly are all mounted to the moving bracket and move with the display. Methods for positioning an electronic display are also provided.
