Abstract: Installation of a security device, by an installer, at an installation location in an installation site, is facilitated by capturing images of the installation site. Images are processed to determine a computerised model of the installation site. A graphical representation of the computerised model is presented to an expert. A user interface enables the expert to indicate a recommended device installation location. An expert message is sent, comprising installation position data specifying the recommended installation location, to an installer device. This generates a user interface, presenting a graphical representation of the installation site. A user input action indicative of readiness of the installer to install the device causes generation of an installation position graphical representation, based on the installation position data, the installation position graphical representation comprising an image depicting a portion of the installation site substantially in the region of the installation location.
