Abstract: This invention relates to a NC laser apparatus comprising the combination of a numeric control apparatus and a laser machining apparatus. It includes a means for measuring the oscillation time of laser and a means (19) for measuring laser output power. When the oscillation time is within a predetermined time based on the life of optical components and the drop rate of the output power is below a predetermined value, an instruction for cleaning optical components is displayed on a display (18). When the oscillation time of the laser exceeds a predetermined time and the drop rate of the output power is below the predetermined value, an instruction to replace the optical components (5, 6) is displayed on the display (18). Accordingly, the maintenance becomes easy and the life of the optical components can be improved.

Abstract: An NC laser for metal working which has the function of indicating the maintenance information on optical parts, and which consists of a combination of a numerical control device (CNC) and a laser oscillator. An electric power measuring instrument (26) measures the electric power (Pi) supplied to the laser oscillators (4, 5, 6). Further, a power sensor (24) measures the laser output (Pa). The laser output efficiency is calculated from the supplied electric power (Pi) and the laser output (Pa). When the laser output efficiency becomes smaller than a predetermined tolerable range of change, an instruction is displayed on the display screen to clean the optical parts. When the laser output efficiency becomes smaller than the tolerable range of change, it is so determined that the optical parts are subject to critical contamination and this fact is given to the operator through the display device.

The ratio is stored in a non-volatile memory (10) to find a difference between this ratio and the ratio found at the time of previous starting. When the difference is greater than a preset value, an alarm is displayed on a display screen. When there is a difference greater than a predetermined value between the ratio of this time and the ratio of the previous time, it is regarded that some abnormal condition has developed during the stop period and an alarm is produced.

Abstract: An inexpensive solid laser oscillator from which high output can be obtained. Laser crystals (YAG laser crystals, etc.) (1a, 1b and 1c) are so arranged along the optical axis of an optical resonator that the crystals are in optical contact with each other. Adjacent laser crystals have surfaces facing to each other with adhesive layers (10, 20) inbetween and form a linear aggregate as a whole. The adhesive of the adhesive layers exhibits a low light absorption factor for light having the oscillation wavelength of the laser oscillator or pumping light. When the refractive index of the adhesive is nearly equal to that of the laser crystals, optical matching can be obtained. The adhesive layers (10 and 20) can be formed of another transparent material or can be replaced with narrow gaps or face-contacts.

Abstract: This invention relates to a laser machining apparatus which outputs a laser beam, irradiates it on a work surface and machines the work. Further, the NC instruction is executed without the profile control, and the path is corrected by inserting a corrected value in case the deviation between the distance up to the work and a standard gap has exceeded a predetermined value. This enables the teaching data to be easily confirmed and corrected, and reliable teaching data to be obtained.
