Abstract: A system (26) for determining and recording the location of a vehicle (10) during the occurrence of predetermined events. The vehicle (10) is equipped with one or more sensors (18, 24) which respond to the occurrence of the predetermined events. The sensors (18, 24) are connected to a navigational system (26) which receives positional information from a navigational transmitter. The navigational system (26) then computes the positional information, such as latitude and longitude of the vehicle (10), and stores this information in a data collector (28) on the vehicle (10). The date and time of day of the occurrence of the events may also be stored along with the positional information.
