Abstract: The method for assembling a fabric annular band (FA) and a knitted article (M) having a body and two leg pieces comprises a step of loading the annular band onto a loading form (7) with a loading surface. The annular band is loaded onto the loading form so that the first hem of the annular band is near the first edge of the loading surface. Then, a portion of the body of the knitted article (M) is loaded around the loading form (7) above the annular band (FA), with the body open edge aligned with the first hem (O1) of the annular band (FA). Lastly, the first hem (O1) of the annular band (FA) and the open edge of the body are joined together and the garment comprising the knitted article with the annular band sewn thereto is removed from the loading form (7).
