Disclosed is a holding device (1) for a rim (14) of a vehicle wheel, comprising a base plate (2) that has a central recess and is to be slid onto the shaft of a balancing machine, and a plurality of holding elements (4) which are rotatably mounted on the base plate (2). Each holding element (4) is connected to at least one holding means (7) that extends parallel to and is arranged eccentric to the axis of rotation (X) of the holding element (4). At least one coupling means is provided for kinematically coupling the holding means (7). According to the invention, a control plate (5) that has a plurality of guiding slots (13) and another central recess (8a) is provided as a coupling means. The holding elements (4) are disposed between the base plate (2) and the control plate (5) while the holding means (7) are guided outward through the guiding slots (13), the holding means (7) being kinematically coupled by guiding the same (7) within the guiding slots (13).

The invention relates to a clamping mechanism (1) for clamping the wheel of a motorcycle onto the shaft (2) of a balancing machine. The aim of the invention is to provide a clamping mechanism (1) that can be easily adapted to different wheel diameters. To this end, the mechanism comprises a clamping pin (3) that is fixed on the shaft (2) of the balancing machine and that is coaxial with regard to the shaft (2) in the fixed state. The mechanism is further provided with a clamping device (5) that comprises a multi-limb arm (6) that is arranged transversally with respect to the clamping pin (3). Each end (9, 10) of said arm is provided with a mounting device (11). Said mounting device (11) is provided with a pivoted support element (21) with a support face (22) which is positioned against the wheel and which catches the wheel by adhesive forces. The invention is further characterized in that the arm (6) can be adjusted in the radial direction.

The invention relates to a balancing device (1) consisting of a balancing machine (3) provided with a shaft (2) for clamping a wheel, a supporting frame (4) and a cover (5) which is placed on top of the supporting flame (4). The balancing machine (3) can be pivoted 90 DEG in relation to the supporting frame (4), moving from a horizontal measuring position to an upper position or centering position. In order to facilitate handling when the wheel is placed on the shaft of the balancing machine, said balancing machine (3) is provided with a height adjustment device (6) which enables the balancing machine (3) to be lowered into the supporting frame (4) and moved out of the centering position, whereby the outer end (7) of the shaft does not protrude above the cover (5).

Illustrated and described is a clamping device (1) having hub centring for securing a vehicle wheel on the shaft of a balancing machine, having an abutment flange (2) with a plurality of centring elements (3), which are guided in a radially movable manner on the abutment flange (2), for centring engagement in a centring hole in the rim, and having a clamping sleeve (4), which is guided in an axially movable manner with respect to the abutment flange (2), wherein the clamping sleeve (4) and the centring elements (3) are coupled together kinematically such that an axial movement of the clamping sleeve (4) results in a radial movement of the centring elements (3). According to the invention, provision is made for at least one clamping lever (16), which is connected in an articulated manner to the clamping sleeve (4) and a centring element (3), to be provided for the kinematic coupling of the clamping sleeve (4) and the centring element (3).
