Abstract: A cryogenic trap (12) is shielded by a floating baffle array (30) which is insulated from ambient temperature. The cryogenic trap includes a baffle array (20) which is suspended by conductive braid (50) from split cylinders (24A, 24B). The split cylinders are cooled by respective closed cycle refrigerators (40, 42).
