Abstract:
An example electromagnetic interference (EMI) shield for optical connectors is provided herein. The EMI shield includes a connector cage and a fastening member. The connector cage is formed of a conductive material to cover an optical connector. The fastening member holds the connector cage in place.
Abstract:
One example of a removable module includes an optical transceiver, optical cables, electrical cables, a power conditioner, and a housing. The optical transceiver converts optical signals received through an optical cable to electrical signals to distribute to a plurality of computing devices through electrical cables and converts electrical signals received from the plurality of computing devices through the electrical cables to optical signals to transmit through the optical cable. The power conditioner receives power from a system with the removable module installed in the system to provide power to the optical transceiver. The housing encloses the optical transceiver and the power conditioner and includes an air intake port and an air exhaust vent. The housing is received by a bay of the system, which provides an interface to the power conditioner and provides air to the air intake port with the removable module installed in the system.
Abstract:
An example heat exchanger may comprise a base to thermally conductively engage with a computing component, a plurality of fins that may extend from the base on the same side as the computing component, and an auxiliary fluid channel defined by the plurality of fins. The plurality of fins may transfer thermal energy from the computing component to a fluid medium surrounding the plurality of fins. The auxiliary fluid channel may facilitate the transfer of thermal energy from an electronic component, other than the computing component, disposed within the auxiliary fluid channel to a fluid medium flowing through the auxiliary fluid channel.
Abstract:
One example of a system includes a system board including first contacts and second contacts and a cage attached to the system board. The cage includes a first side over the first contacts and a second side over the second contacts. A first lever is coupled to the first side of the cage and pivotable with respect to the cage. A second lever is coupled to the second side of the cage and pivotable with respect to the cage. A removable transceiver module includes third contacts. The transceiver module is installable in at least one of the first side and the second side of the cage using at least one of the first lever and the second lever.
Abstract:
One example of a cable assembly includes a housing, a first cable, a first connector board, a second cable, and a second connector board. The first connector board is electrically coupled to the first cable and is at least partially arranged within the housing. The second connector board is electrically coupled to the second cable and is at least partially arranged within the housing.
Abstract:
One example of a cable assembly includes a plurality of 1-lane cable assemblies and latching features to couple the cable assembly to a receptacle. Each 1-lane cable assembly generally includes a cable and a cable connector attached to at least one end of the cable. As an example, each cable connector of a 1-lane cable assembly includes interlocking geometries to conjoin with interlocking geometries of cable connectors of other 1-lane cable assemblies. As an example, the cable assembly includes pins insertable through the interlocking geometries, wherein the pins are to secure the conjoined 1-lane cable assemblies to each other.
Abstract:
An example optical receptacle is provided herein. The optical receptacle includes a housing with two sides to encase at least one lane of an optical transceiver on one side and directly accept a passive optical cable on the other side. The optical receptacle also includes a receptacle alignment member to align a transmit fiber and a receive fiber of the passive optical cable with the optical transceiver. The optical receptacle to receive configurations of multiple types of optical cable assemblies per optical receptacle.
Abstract:
An example security device is provided herein. The security device includes a lock mechanism and a control mechanism. The lock mechanism is associated with an electronic module. The control mechanism is communicatively coupled to the lock mechanism and the electronic module. The control mechanism uses an authorization mechanism to determine when to activate the lock mechanism and when to inactivate the lock mechanism.
Abstract:
In one example, a system for a cage assembly for an optical module includes a receptacle coupled to an interposer card, a number of rails coupled to the interposer card to align an optical module with the receptacle, and a mezzanine card coupled to the interposer card, wherein the optical module is utilized via the mezzanine card.
Abstract:
Examples herein disclose an apparatus for securing or disengaging a blade server in an enclosure. The apparatus includes a worm gear and a cam gear. The worm gear includes a number of threads to interact with a number of teeth on the cam gear. The cam gear includes the number of teeth to interact with the number of threads and a latch. The latch rotates based on the number of threads interacting with the number of teeth such that the rotation secures or disengages the blade server from the enclosure.
