Abstract: A method of controlling the ejection speed of a print job that includes, with a density module of a printing device, determining a density classifier based on a region of a plane where print fluid is to be printed for a plurality of sheets of media of a print job; determining a percentage of each sheet of media exceeding a threshold density classifier relative to a total sheet count of the print job; and, based on the percentage, initiating an assisted ejection of the print job from the printing device.

Abstract: In some examples, a system comprises: a storage device comprising machine-readable instructions; and a processor coupled to the storage device, wherein execution of the machine-readable instructions causes the processor to: receive a first end image; receive a second end image; receive a middle image, wherein the middle image comprises a repeatable image; receive a measurement of a single print job; scale the first end image, the middle image, the second end image, or a combination thereof based on the measurement; and after the scaling, queue the first end image, the middle image, and the second end image as the single print job.

The print system includes a print engine to dispense a print substance on a medium based on the print data to generate printed medium, and a conditioner to apply heat and pressure to the printed medium, the conditioner including a pressure roller assembly, and a controller to selectively increase a transport speed the pressure roller assembly based on the conditioning modifier and a position of the printed medium relative to the pressure roller assembly to selectively increase the speed of the printed medium through the conditioner.

Abstract: Examples of printing devices and print guides for accurate detection of a print start location are described herein. In some examples, a printing device may include a marker sensor to detect a print start marker on a print guide as the printing device moves on the print guide. The print start marker may be located on the print guide at a distance before a print start location. The print guide may have a reference marker located in relation to the print start location to provide an accurate indication of the print start location to a user. The print guide may be physically separate from a print media. In some examples, the printing device may also include a distance measurement sensor to measure distance traveled by the printing device after detecting the print start marker. The distance measurement sensor may trigger a start of printing at the print start location.

The print system includes a print engine to move the medium along the print path to deposit a print substance onto a medium and apply drying to the medium and a controller to control a drying of the medium along the print path of the print engine in response to the score.

Abstract: A printing system includes an compiler tray, a tamper movable relative to the compiler tray between a retracted position and two or more tamping positions, and a controller. The controller is operably connected to the tamper and responsive to instructions recorded on a memory receive a measurement of a parameter indicative of relative humidity and compare the relative humidity to a predetermined humidity threshold. When the relative humidity is below the predetermined humidity threshold the tamper is moved to a first tamping position. When the relative humidity is above the predetermined humidity threshold the tamper is moved to the second tamping position. The second tamping position is located between the retracted position and the first tamping position. Tamping methods and computer program products are also described.
