Abstract: A chair (10) is provided with a bracket assembly mounted to a seat member (12) wherein the seat member is pivotable relative to a base pedestal (18). The chair includes a pair of back support brackets (50), a generally U-shaped frame member wherein an intermediate portion (62) of the U-shaped frame member (60) is disposed beneath the seat member, and the end portions (58) of the U-shaped frame member are pivotally connected to the back support brackets. A back support member (64) is connected to a back member (14) and the intermediate portion.
