A suction-operated valved mouthpiece (1) for a beverage container (50) comprises a unitary base component (10) and a unitary valve component (20). The base component (10) comprises a lower attachment portion (11), an upper tubular portion (12) and a valve seat (14). The valve component (20) comprises a tubular inner valve portion (21) forming a beverage discharge passage (22) and an outlet (23) thereof at a top end (24) of the inner valve portion (21). The inner valve portion (21) has a lower end provided with a valve head (25), the valve head (25) forming a sealing surface (26) adapted to sealing engage with the valve seat (14) in a closed state of the mouthpiece (1). The valve component further comprises an outer deflectible valve portion (28) generally concentric to the tubular inner valve portion (21), the outer deflectible valve portion having a top end that is integral with the top end of the tubular inner valve portion (21), the outer deflectible valve portion (28) having a lower end that is attached to the base component (10). The tubular inner valve portion (21) is slidable received within the upper tubular portion (12) of the base component (10). A vacuum chamber (40) is delimited between said outer deflectible valve portion (28) and the base component (10) such that an underpressure is established in said vacuum chamber (40) upon sucking the beverage from the container via the mouthpiece. The mouthpiece (1) is further provided with a tamper-evident cap component (30), said component (30) including a cap (31 ) extending over the outer deflectible valve portion (28) and a tamper-evident band (32) extending at the lower end of the cap (31) and integral therewith via one or more frangible portions (33).

An article (1) having a foil (4) sealed opening (3a), wherein a foil (4) extends across said opening (3a) and is at its periphery secured to or integral with the article. A manually operable closure device is mounted on said article so as to extent over said foil sealed opening. The closure device comprises: - a rotational cap (10) which - for removal of the cap from the article by a user - is adapted to be manually rotated from a closed position in an opening direction; - a foil piece retention member (30) which is at its lower end stationary secured to the top side of the foil so that an annular region of the top side of the foil is exposed around said foil piece retention member, said foil piece retention member being rotatably connected to the cap; - one or more cutting members (40) concealed within said cap above the exposed annular region of the foil and adapted to make one or more cuts in said exposed annular region of the foil.

A container having a neck (2), which surrounds an opening (3) in the container, and a plastic collar (21), which can be screwed onto the neck and has a top side and an underside and an outer circumference. The neck is provided with a first screw thread and the collar is provided with a second screw thread (24). Beneath the first screw thread, the neck is provided with a blocking rib (7) which projects radially outwards. On the underside, the collar is provided with a tamper-evident ring (25), which ring is provided, on the inner circumference, with inwardly projecting flexible blocking members (27), which are distributed around the circumference, in such a manner that when the collar is being screwed onto the neck the flexible blocking members pass over the blocking rib, and when the collar is being unscrewed the blocking rib forms a stop for the blocking members, resulting in one or more parts of the collar being broken.

A closure assembly comprises an article (1) forming a tubular neck (2) around a product passage ( 3 ) in said article. The neck forms a mouth at a top end of said product passage. The assembly further comprises a rotational cap (20) that is injection moulded of plastic material and that is secured on or to be secured on said neck of the article. The cap seals the product passage in closed position of the cap on said neck, and the cap - for removal of the cap from the neck of the article by a user to open the product passage - is adapted to be manually rotated from the closed position in an opening direction.

A bag-in-box connector assembly for providing fluid communication with a collapsible bag (3) arranged within a box having at least one box panel (1). The connector assembly comprises a female element (10), as well as a male element (30) and a plug (40), the female element having a body adapted to be fitted to said collapsible bag (3), said body having an axial bore (12) which extends through the body, from an insertion opening (12a) for the male element to a seat (13), which extends around the bore, for the plug (40), which plug serves to close off the bore. The body of the female element furthermore has box panel retaining means (14a, b) for retaining said body with respect to said box panel so that said male element can be introduced into said insertion opening (12a). The male element (30) has a tubular part (31) with a head (32), said tubular part having an internal fluid passage (31a) which extends through the tubular part and having one or more lateral fluid ports (31b) behind the head. The head (32) and the plug (40) are adapted to establish a releasable coupling there between. The bore (12) has - between said insertion opening (12a) and the seat (13) for the plug - a sealing portion (12b), said male element being provided with one or more annular sealing members (33) sealingly engaging said sealing portion (12b) of the bore upon introduction of said male element into the bore, at least before said plug (40) is pressed from its seat. The body of the female element (10) has - in a region between the box panel retention means (14a,b) and the sealing portion (12b) of the bore (12) - a lateral drip prevention passageway (15) which is adapted to prevent dripping from said insertion opening (12a), said lateral drip prevention passageway (15) being in communication with said bore (12) and a space (4) between the box panel (1) of the box and the collapsible bag (3), said lateral drip prevention passageway (15) allowing for the lateral exit from said bore of any product which has been sucked into the bore (12) upon withdrawal of the male element (30) from the bore before said plug (40) is drawn into its seat (13).

A twist cap closure assembly comprising: an injection moulded thermoplastic base (1) including a tubular part, which has an interior side defining a channel in said tubular part and also has an exterior side, said tubular part forming a mouth of said channel at one end thereof, an injection moulded thermoplastic twist cap (50) adapted to be fitted on said tubular part of said base so as to close off the mouth in a closed position of said cap, said cap including a top wall and a downward skirt depending from said top wall, said skirt having an interior side, an exterior side and a lower edge, said exterior side of said tubular part and said interior side of said skirt having mating bayonet connector members, said bayonet connector members being adapted to hold said cap (50) in its closed position on said tubular part and allow for the cap to be twisted about a twist axis to release said cap (1) from the base so that the channel is opened, wherein a plug (70) is arranged within said tubular part of the base, said plug being injection moulded integrally with said base and forming a hermetic closure of said channel.

An orthodontic feeding nipple adapted for attachment to a feeding bottle, said feeding nipple having a monolithic, single-walled hollow body of elastomeric material. The body has an annular securing flange at a base end of the body. An inner contour of the flange defines an inlet opening for liquid into said feeding nipple. A bottle ventilation hole is present in said flange allowing the passage of air into the feeding bottle. The body has a hollow shell portion integral with the flange at the inner contour thereof. The shell portion has a lower shell portion, a central shell portion, and a top shell portion. The top shell portion includes a dispensing holes containing wall section that is provided with a group of multiple liquid dispensing holes. This wall section is arranged at the side of the ventilation hole and has a substantially uniform wall thickness in the region of the group of dispensing holes. Each dispensing hole is conical with a smallest diameter at the inside of the shell portion and a largest diameter at the outside of the shell portion. The outer face of the wall section is substantially planar and arranged at an angle between 30 and 40° with respect to a plane normal to the plane of the securing flange.

The body has a main body part through which the channel extends and two elongated wings (10, 11) extending over a length thereof in diametrically opposed directions outward from the main body part, each wing having a height at right angles to its length, each wing having a solid cross-section, each wing (10, 11) having opposed faces forming part of the sealing surfaces of the spout, and wherein each wing further has a significant length.

A closure device (1) for a product dispensing container. The closure device comprises a base (2) having a body with a connector portion (2a) adapted to mount the closure device on a product container. The base comprises a product channel (5) and a rupturable seal (4) occluding the product channel and forming a lower seal of the closure device. A rotary part (20) is rotatably journalled on the base. The rotary part has a product passage (21) in communication with the product channel in the base. An upper sealing arrangement (30) is arranged on the rotary part and forms an upper seal of the closure device that is remote from the lower seal and seals the product passage of the rotary part. A lower seal rupturing member (40) is movable in a rupturing motion relative to the base to rupture the rupturable lower seal. A motion transfer (27, 42, 3b, 41) means is provided and is adapted so as to effect the rupturing motion of the lower seal rupturing member upon suitable rotary actuation of the rotary part. A protective overcap (10) is removable by the user.

A combination of a machine for making and dispensing a flowable ice product such as e.g. soft ice-cream, ice cream slush, in particular milk shake, and a package for the flowable ice product. The machine for making and dispensing the flowable ice product comprises an ice product making assembly including a cooler or freezer unit, and a dispenser unit for dispensing the ice product. The dispenser unit is connected to the ice product making assembly and to outlet means of the machine. The flowable ice product can be fed from the outlet means of the machine to the package for the flowable ice product. The package is a collapsible pouch comprising inlet means.
