A rotary slitter (10) includes a disc-shaped rotary slitter body (12) having a rotation axis (AR), opposing first and second surfaces (20A, 20B), a circumferential surface (20C) connecting the first and second side surfaces (20a, 20B), and a cutting portion (14). The cutting portion (14) includes an insert seating construction (24B), a groove (26B) formed in the first surface (20A) and surrounding the insert seating construction (24B), in a view of the first surface (20A) along the rotation axis (AR), and a positioning hole (30B). The rotary slitter (10) further includes a positioning screw (32) mounted to the positioning hole (30B) and configured to adjust a position of a cutting edge of a cutting insert (22A, 22B) mounted to the insert seating construction (24B).

An insert adaptor (112) for parting off including an adaptor index axis (I A ) and parallel adaptor first and second sides (120A, 120B) connected by an adaptor peripheral surface (122) which extends peripherally around the adaptor (112). The adaptor peripheral surface is formed with at least three pockets (124) and bearing surfaces (152) extending between the pockets (124). Each of the pockets (124) comprises resilient upper and lower clamp surfaces (130, 132).

A cutting tool assembly includes a parting blade and a blade holder for holding same. The cutting tool assembly is configured for conveying pressurized coolant via the blade holder to a cutting portion of the parting blade. The blade holder includes a deceleration chamber configured for reducing impact of the pressurized coolant against the parting blade.

A turning tool adaptor (10) includes opposite first and second side surfaces (12, 14) and a peripheral surface (16) which extends therebetween. The turning tool adaptor (10) further includes a cutting portion (18) with an insert retaining portion (20) and a clamping portion (22) which extends from the cutting portion (18). The clamping portion (22) includes a protrusion (29) which extends transversely from the first side surface (12). The protrusion (29) includes a main abutment surface (28) and spaced apart first and second adaptor clamping bores (24, 26) which open out to the second side surface (14) and also to the main abutment surface (28). The turning tool adaptor (10) has first, second and third abutment surfaces (30, 32, 34) which are located between the top and bottom surfaces (40, 42) in a side view perpendicular to one of the side surfaces (12, 14).
