Abstract:
The present disclosure relates generally to the field of lithium ion batteries and battery modules. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to a battery module including a lithium ion battery cell having a cathode with a cathode active layer and an anode with an anode active layer. The anode active layer includes at least one polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) binder, a conductive carbon, and a secondary lithium titanate oxide (LTO), wherein the secondary LTO includes secondary LTO particles having an average particle size (D 50 ) greater than 2 micrometers (µm).
