Abstract:
The present invention relates to a sports racket for playing in narrow indoor spaces. The racket has a total length of 430 to 470mm, a total width of 150 to 185mm, a string unit length of 220 to 225mm, a shaft diameter of 5 to 7mm and a cross section thickness of 0.5 to 1.5mm. The racket of the present invention reduces the flight length and height of the shuttlecock, thereby enabling play within a narrow space. Being lightweight, it is easy for the weak, the elderly and children to use and prevents user joint-strain. Using the racket of the present invention involves more physical exercise, as it demands increased footwork on the part of the user, and increases the activity of the user due to the shuttlecock being passed back and forth more frequently as a result of the shortened flight length. Although the racket of the present invention has a comparatively reduced size, the elastic force of the racket shaft is not reduced, and user joint-strain is therefore prevented by absorption of the force of impact when striking the shuttlecock. Users can execute accurate motions by applying elastic force to the shuttlecock to achieve a satisfactory flight distance. The racket of the present invention is therefore suitable for encouraging national sports participation.

The shuttlecock weighs 1.5-3g, and has a base having a diameter of 16-23mm and a vertical length of 14-21mm, and 10-14 feathers having a vertical diameter of 40-60mm, wherein the vertical length of the shuttlecock from the lower end of the base to the upper end of the feathers ranges from 50 to 80mm. The shuttlecock allows the flying distance and height thereof to be reduced, and thus a game can be played even in a small space. The shuttlecock is light, and thus elderly people and children can play a game with ease and the likelihood of joint pain can be prevented. As the flying distance of the shuttlecock is shortened, the shuttlecock can travel back and forth more frequently, thereby increasing amusement. A racket game playing using the present invention is a step-based exercise which increases the amount of exercise, and is easy to play. Therefore, the racket game is suitable for development into a national sport.

The present invention relates to a badminton shuttlecock which comprises a base made of cork and 10-14 feathers attached to the base with a uniform spacing. The present invention provides a shuttlecock where the angle between the upper surface of the base and the outer circumferential surface of the feathers is 75° - 87°, so production costs are reduced and users strike the shuttlecock conveniently and easily. Despite the reduction of feathers, the shuttlecock has the same flying distance as conventional authorized shuttlecocks and the damage rate is sharply reduced. Therefore, users can enjoy badminton.
