Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting theft of one or more consumable products at a plurality of washroom facilities at a commercial location are provided. The system includes one or more product dispensers within each of the washroom facilities that require periodic refill of a consumable product. The system also includes a sensor configured with each of the product dispensers configured to monitor an amount of product consumed from the product dispenser and to generate one or more data signals comprising product usage information. A server system is provided that configured to receive the one or more data signals and to monitor product usage of the dispenser based. The server system is further configured to generate a theft alert upon identification of one or more theft parameters. The one or more theft parameters includes identification of a product usage rate that is an atypical product usage rate for the product dispenser.

Abstract: Methods, systems and apparatus for operating a dispenser system including receiving product usage information and battery status from each of a plurality of dispensers, determining expected product depletion dates for each of the plurality of dispensers based on the respective product usage information; determining expected battery depletion dates for each of the plurality of dispensers based on the respective battery status; determining respective dispenser tasks for one or more of the plurality of dispensers that specify tasks a dispenser is responsible to perform over a given time period to cause, for each of one or more of the plurality of dispensers, the respective expected product depletion date and expected battery depletion date to be within a threshold range of one another, and communicating the respective dispenser tasks to the one or more of the plurality of dispensers.
