Abstract:
A method and apparatus (100) for replacing an advertisement is described. A negative input regarding a current advertisement is received (step 200). At least one feature of the current advertisement is identified which is hypothesized to have caused the received negative input (step 204). A new advertisement that differs to the current advertisement in respect of the identified at least one feature is selected (step 210). The current advertisement is replaced with the selected new advertisement (step 212).
Abstract:
A method of providing a report of experiences of members of a group of users includes: making available a content data compilation compiled from at least items of content data obtained in association with different members of the group; - obtaining data associated with at least one member of the group; and using the data associated with at least one member to cause at least one message to be output on at least one device (8-11) associated with at least one member of the group. At least part of the content data compilation is based on information provided in response to the at least one message by the at least one member with whom the device (8-11) is associated. In one embodiment, a "family news reporter" scenario is proposed.
Abstract:
It is quite common for users to have both video and photo material that refer to the same event. Adding photos to home videos enriches the content. However, just adding still photos to a video sequence has a disturbing effect. The invention relates to a method to seamlessly integrate photos into the video by creating a virtual camera motion in the photo that is aligned with the estimated camera motion in the video. A synthesized video sequence is created by estimating a video camera motion in the video sequence at an insertion position in the video sequence at which the still photo is to be included, creating a virtual video sequence of sub frames of the still photo where the virtual video sequence has a virtual camera motion correlated to the video camera motion at the insertion position.
Abstract:
To adjust colors in an input image (II) to colors of a reference image (RI), matching reference points (RP) are provided in the input image (II) and the reference image (RI), dominant colors of the matching reference points (RP) aredetermined (10, 20), and the colors in the input image (II) are transformed (30, 40) based on the dominant colors of the matching reference points to obtain an output image (OI).
Abstract:
A system for facilitating accompanying an image or video rendering with a concurrent controlled ambient lighting, comprises a color selector (302) for selecting a color of the controlled ambient lighting in dependence on scene lighting information associated with the image or with at least one image of the video. An image analyzer (304) is provided for computing an illuminant parameter indicative of the scene lighting based on the image or video, wherein the color selector is arranged for selecting the color in dependence on the illuminant parameter.
Abstract:
A system (1) for producing a depth map of a video sequence comprises a client (C) and a server (S) connected by a network (N). A secondary video sequence (M*) available at the client (C) is derived from a primary video sequence (M) available at the server (S), the primary video sequence (M) having a primary depth map (D). The server comprises a transmission unit for transmitting the primary depth map (D) to the client. The client comprises an alignment unit for aligning the primary depth map (D) with the secondary video sequence (M*) so as to produce alignment information (AI), and a derivation unit for deriving the secondary depth map (D*) from the primary depth map (D) using the alignment information (AI).
Abstract:
Photo or video content of a person is acquired (401). A dimension of at least one iris of a person such as radius of the iris is measured (405, 411). A dimension of the face of the person, such as width of the face, is measured. The person is then classified (413) as an adult or child on the basis of a ratio of the dimension of the face and the dimension of the iris.
Abstract:
A summary of a multimedia content item input at step (101) is automatically generated. A perceived pace of the content of a multimedia content item is determined, step (105). The multimedia content item comprises a plurality of segments. At least one segment of the multimedia content item is selected, step (107), to generate a summary, step (109), which has a pace similar to the perceived pace of the multimedia content item determined in step (105).
Abstract:
In order to further develop a method for summarizing at least one data stream (12) as well as a corresponding data summarization system (100) comprising at least one receiving means (10) for receiving at least one data stream (12) in such way that at least one summary is available immediately after receiving of the data stream (12), in particular immediately after content acquisition and/or recording and/or encoding and/or decoding of the data stream without any post-processing operation, it is proposed to provide - at least one selecting means (30) for selecting part (32, 32') of the data stream portions and at least one processing means (70) for generating at least one summary by summarizing at least part of the selected data stream portions (32') in particular until at least one predetermined summary volume is obtained, wherein the summary is generated during the receiving of the data stream (12).
