Abstract:
A modular plastic conveyor belt constructed of injection-molded belt modules having narrowed portions either above or below rod holes in hinge elements. The narrowed portions are formed by a restricted-flow region in an injection-mold cavity that ensures that weld lines in the hinge elements are angled off the pull line of the conveyor belt.
Abstract:
A cleanable belt conveyor and a method for making a cleanable belt conveyor having a simplified frame design. The conveyor includes at least one toolbar and one or more auxiliary components mounted to the toolbar using a snap clamp having a protrusion that mates with a channel on the toolbar.
Abstract:
A modular plastic conveyor belt constructed of belt modules having hooked structure to hold belt rows (70) together during splicing for easier hinge-rod insertion and to accommodate an elongated belt edge portion (14) permitting hinge-rod (32) growth and a method for splicing such a belt together. The modules include a pivot end (62, 114) that hooks into a mating receptacle (48, 96) on the module of a consecutive belt row. An aperture (122, 124) through the receptacle (96) and the pivot end (114) is aligned with the apertures (30) of other hinge elements to form a lateral passageway for a hinge rod (32).
Abstract:
A modular conveyor belts (10) and belt attachment members (34,60,70) that are retained by hinge rod (20) . The attachment members have a body with opposite outer (40) and base surface (41) . Interaction elements, such as high-friction surface (42) , plate’s (70) , or holddown wings (64) , extend from the outer surface . The base surface mounts flush against a conveying surface or an opposite surface of the belt. Legs (46,47) extend directly from the base surface into gap (48) between hinge elements (26,27) extending longitudinally outward of conveyor belt modules forming the belt. Feet (50) at distal ends of the legs hook under hinge rod (20) to retain the attachment member firmly in place . The lateral spacing between the legs are related to the geometry of the hinge elements to register the attachment element with respect to the belt.
Abstract:
A conveyor belt module (20) includes a movable hinge rod retainer (220) that can be opened and closed without tools. The movable hinge rod retainer facilitates opening and rejoining of the conveyor belt (100) at one or more dedicated locations. In a first position, the hinge rod retainer locks a hinge rod (130) withing a hinge rod passageway. A user can easily move the hinge rod retainer to a second position in which the hinge rod passageway is open to allow removal of the hinge rod.
Abstract:
A conveyor system integrates lane dividers to form a plurality of product lanes across a conveyor belt carryway while providing conduits enabling transverse fluid flow across the carryway. Each lane divider includes a body defining edges of adjacent conveyor belt lanes and hinge elements or other attachment means for integrating the lane divider into a modular conveyor belt. The body has lateral conduits to allow transverse fluid flow therethrough.
Abstract:
Components of a conveyor system designed to reduce take-up tension in a returnway of a conveyor. A snub roller in the returnway engages and drives a portion of the conveyor belt at a speed that is faster than the speed of a drive for the conveyor belt. A weighted roller between a drive and a synchronized sprocket tied to the drive alternatively reduces take-up load in a conveyor belt.
Abstract:
A noseroller assembly for transitioning a conveyor belt at an end of a carryway comprises offset bearings for guiding a conveyor belt. A first set of bearings protrudes slightly from the end of the noseroller substrate to guide the conveyor belt around the noseroller and a second set of bearings in recessed from the end of the noseroller substrate to prevent wear.
Abstract:
A hinge rod retainer for a modular conveyor belt. The retainer retains a hinge rod (24) within a passageway, while allowing room for rod expansion or contraction relative to the belt width. The retainer comprises a flexible portion and a support (150a) forming an outside edge of the modular conveyor belt. The flexible portion comprises a flexible hook (120b) including an opening (140b) for allowing passage of the hinge rod into the passageway. The flexible hook defines a trapping region between the passageway and outside edge of the modular conveyor belt for trapping a hinge rod end.
Abstract:
A modular roller-top conveyor belt and rollers for the belt. The roller-top belt has axles that are fixed relative to the module body. Each of the pieces of the multi-piece rollers can be installed radially onto an axle and joined together in a puzzle pattern to form a complete roller that can rotate on the axle. Parallel ridges extending across the width of the modules add stiffness to the belt.
