Abstract: A smart mirror system collects and visualizes appearance data of a user with artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. The system uses various sensors and multiple cameras to acquire real-time appearance data while the user looks in a mirror of the system. Through the use of AI, the system analyzes the data and creates a three-dimensional (3D) avatar of the user, and subsequently projects the 3D avatar together with measurement data onto a display over the mirror surface of a foldable mirror. Additionally, the system provides images/videos of exercise poses of the user with a simultaneous display of an instructor's pose to guide the user's learning. Further, the system can provide outfit suggestions by analyzing the current outfit of the user and displaying simulated 3D avatars with suggested outfits for comparison. All data and results are securely saved in the system. Thus, the system offers a versatile and innovative smart mirror.
