    摘要: The present disclosure relates to chemically processed toner that makes use of aqueous dispersions of release agent and/or pigment and solutions of a polymeric resin binder. The polymer solution may be prepared in an organic solvent wherein the organic solvent has some level of solubility in water. The polymer solution may then be combined with an aqueous dispersion of pigment and/or release agent which dispersions may include an aqueous polyelectrolyte and/or an aqueous dispersion of colloidal particles. This may be followed by agglomerating and forming particles of toner of a desired number and/or volume average particle size and/or degree of circularity.

    摘要: A silver dispersion is obtained by reducing a silver compound in the presence of a polymeric dispersant of an ionic hydrophilic segments, such as methacrylic acid segments and nonionic hydrophilic segments of alkoxy-terminated polyethylene glycol segments. Aqueous inkjet inks may contain such dispersants and other common ingredients such as a humectant. The printed inks can be sintered under heat to form solid, conductive patterns of silver.

    摘要: A method for producing toner according to one example embodiment includes combining and agglomerating a first polymer emulsion with a colorant dispersion and a release agent dispersion to form toner cores. A borax coupling agent is added to the toner cores. A second polymer emulsion is combined and agglomerated with the toner cores having the borax coupling agent to form toner shells around the toner cores. The aggregated toner cores and toner shells are fused to form toner particles.

    摘要: A chemically prepared toner for electrophotographic printers and method therefor using a unique polymeric dispersant. The chemically prepared toner includes agglomerated polymeric dispersant stabilized pigment particles, a fuser release agent, a charge control agent dispersion, and a self-stabilized essentially surfactant free latex binder. The polymeric dispersant includes at least three segments, a hydrophilic polymeric segment, a hydrophobic polymeric segment, and a protective colloid or reactive surfactant segment. The weight average molecular weight range of the dispersant ranges from about 5,000 to about 30,000, and a hydrophobicity ranging from about 10 to about 90 percent by weight. The chemically prepared toner includes agglomerated toner particles have a unimodal particles size distribution with a number average particle size (N) ranging from about 5.0 to about 8.5 microns and a volume average particle size (V) ranging from about 5.0 to about 8.5 microns.

    摘要: A layer of material that binds to the next material to be printed is applied. In an embodiment this material is a resin containing a porous silica. The number of printing passes and amount of liquid accumulation is reduced by selecting ingredients of the ink to act both as a humectant and as a layer former, which permits the ink to have high amounts of active ingredient. In an implementation, two materials, the first an ink depositing amine and the second an ink depositing epoxy, are printed separately. They react in situ to form a single, dielectric layer. When the lower layer is a conductive metal trace or a wiring crossover on, for example, a paper substrate, a second metal trace perpendicular to the lower trace may be formed on the dielectric layer to form a capacitive circuit configuration.
