Abstract: Vascular compression devices with an inflatable chamber are disclosed. The inflatable chamber of the vascular compression devices can be inflated and then deflated with a liquid with ultrasound properties similar to biological tissues. Ultrasound waves may be applied to the vascular compression device and may propagate through the vascular compression device and into the biological tissue of the patient to produce an ultrasound image to determine the patency of the vessel.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing an artery compression device. The method includes obtaining a polymer substrate with a first surface and a second surface and applying a colorant layer to the first surface of the polymer substrate. The polymer substrate is coupled to a fastener. The polymer substrate is also coupled to a semi-rigid member, the semi-rigid member including an outer surface and an inner surface and a flexible member to the semi-rigid member. An inflatable chamber is at least partially defined by the flexible member.
