Abstract:
A receiver for processing a signal comprises a first amplifier circuit and a second amplifier circuit. The first amplifier circuit is operated in association with a first gain profile. The second amplifier circuit is operated in association with a second gain profile. The receiver further comprises a gain control circuit that determines a quality indicator associated with a modulated signal. The gain control circuit adjusts the first gain profile and the second gain profile based at least in part upon the determined quality indicator.
Abstract:
According to the invention, reliable tests can be carried out already during the project phase by automatically generating a comprehensive performance prototype in the actual target environment of the system. The design of the system is enriched with important performance information in a special notation, for instance, in UML. A generator program then generates automatically the source code of the participating components, which are transferred to the corresponding target platforms and systems and activated (deployment). Moreover, test scenarios can be generated, with which the finished prototype system can be tested. The main advantage of the invention is the automatic, fast, flexible, efficient and consistent generation of a comprehensive prototype, which would be impossible with manual prototypes. This enables an early and integrated design of hardware and software thereby reducing the cost and time risks involved in a given system/production development.
