Abstract: A ball lock punch and die retainer comprises a single piece body (10) of high strength through hardened tool steel having a relieved (30) flat bottomed (24) borehole (22) for the punch. The exterior sidewall (40) of the retainer opposite the end having the punch borehole (22) is substantially half-cylindrical.
