Abstract:
A tamper-evident closure (10) for a container. The closure (10) comprises a first portion (25, 30, 37) including inner and outer parts (25, 30), and a second portion (20, 36). The outer part (30) is rotatable relative to the inner part (25) from a first position in which at least part of the first and second portions are adjacent each other to a second position in which there is a gap (G) therebetween. The first portion (25, 30, 37) comprises locking means for irreversibly locking the closure (10) in the second position upon first opening so that the gap (G) cannot be closed, in which the first portion (25, 30, 37) comprises a compressible stopper (105) for sealing the second portion (20, 36) and/or the container. A tamper-evident closure (10) in combination with a container.
Abstract:
A closure (10) is provided. The closure (10) comprises a body portion (20) having engagement means (45) for engagement with a container(15),and a shell for engagement with the body portion (20), wherein the shell comprises securing means (80) arranged in use to secure the engagement means (45) onto the container(15). The container (15) may be a bottle. The body portion (20) may be a pourer fitment. The engagement means (45) may comprise at least one clip. The securing means (80) may comprise a bead.
Abstract:
A closure (101) for a container neck comprises a first portion (102) comprising a body (104) for fixing to the container neck and a second portion (103) comprising a cap (105) releasably engageable with the body (104). The closure (101) comprises a seal support portion (107) formed from a first plastics material and a seal (106) formed from a second plastics material that is more compliant than the first plastics material, the seal (106) formed integrally with the seal support portion(107). A closure (101) with a bi-injection moulded seal. A method of forming the closure (101) comprising the step of bi-injection moulding the seal support portion (107) and the seal(106). A container comprising a container neck provided with the closure (101).
Abstract:
A security closure 5 for a container is provided. The closure comprises a body 25 formed from a plastics material and a metal retention member 10 for retaining the body on a container neck 40.
Abstract:
A closure (101) for a container neck (301) comprises a shell (102) and a fitment (103). The fitment (103) comprises a body (104) and engagement means (105) that extend radially outwardly from the body (104) and releasably retain the fitment (103) within the shell (102). During application of the closure (101) to the container neck (301), the engagement means (105) is forced from an extended condition into a retracted condition to release the fitment (103) from the shell (102), and the fitment (103) is inserted into the container neck (301) into an operative position.
Abstract:
A dispensing closure for a container neck comprises a body (401) which has a retention member (402) for retaining the body (401) on a container neck. The body (401) is a pourer body, for housing a one-way float valve, and it also defines a retention member disconnection line (403) that is severable to release the retention member (402) .
Abstract:
A tamper-evident closure (101) for a container neck comprises a first portion (105, 106), a second portion (102, 104) comprising a window (103) through which a view of the first portion is visible, a locking mechanism, and an RFID device (107) associated with the first portion (105, 106). The second portion (102, 104) is rotatable relative to the first portion (105, 106) upon first opening of the tamper-evident closure (101) from a first position in which the first and second portions (105, 106; 102, 104) are in a first relative relation and the RFID device (107) is aligned with the window (103) and is readable, to a second position in which the first and second portions (105, 106; 102, 104) are in a second relative relation and the RFID device (107) is masked by the second portion (102, 104) and is not readable.
Abstract:
A tamper-evident overcap (100) for a closure (101) comprises a cap superior part (100A) fixable to an exterior surface of the closure (100), and a co-axial annular inferior part (100B) which is releasably connected to the cap superior part (100A) and comprises at least one inwardly directed projection (6) facing an interior of the overcap and at least one zone of weakness (5). At least one projection (6) of the annular inferior part (100B) is capable of interacting with at least one projection (3C) located on the exterior surface of the closure (101). The torque of the engagement of the projections (6, 3C) of the tamper-evident overcap (101) and the closure (101) causes the annular inferior part (100B) to break at the zone of weakness (5) if an attempt is made to open the closure (101) without the annular inferior part (100B) having been removed from the tamper-evident overcap (100).
Abstract:
A tamper-evident closure (I) for a container, the closure comprising: a shell comprising a first shell part (3A) and a second shell part (3B); and a tamper-evident overcap, the overcap comprising a cap (4A) which is fixed to the exterior of the first shell part and a tamper- evident member (4B) which is releasably connected to the cap (4A) and releasably located around the exterior of at least part of the second shell part (3B), such that the first and second shell parts (3A, 3B) cannot be separated unless the member (4B)is released, and thereafter the cap (4A) is removable together with the first shell part (3A).
Abstract:
A tamper-evident closure (10) for a container is provided. The closure comprises a first portion (25, 30, 37) including inner (25) and outer (30) parts, and a second portion (20, 36). The outer part is rotatable relative to the inner part from a first position in which at least part of the first and second portions are adjacent each other to a second position in which there is a gap (G) therebetween. The first portion comprises locking means for irreversibly locking the closure in the second position upon first opening so that the gap cannot be closed. The inner part includes a line of weakness (26) which breaks if the outer part is reverse rotated relative to the inner part.
