    Abstract: The composition comprising the association of stearylamine liposomes with cross-linked or non-cross- linked hyaluronic acid, or a sodium salt thereof, is described, wherein phospholipids and stearylamine are at various molar ratio in liposomes with phospholipids equal to 0.5% by weight and stearylamine ranging between 0.001-0.010% by weight usable in personal hygiene, in the disinfection of the surface of the human and animal body, in the cleaning and disinfection of surfaces in a domestic environment and/or food service areas, hospitals and the like and for use in the treatment of microbial infections, particularly in ophthalmic infections.

    Abstract: An ophthalmic preparation consisting of an aqueous solution, or collyrium, containing a dispersion of BIOSECUR® liposomes of a mixture containing flavonoid- rich citrus extracts, in the form of a liposomal preparation, provides excellent antibacterial protection, in the parameters indicated by the A classification of the Pharmacopoeia XII ed. Preferably, such a collyrium, in borate isotonic buffer, is made viscous to improve its stability and mucoadhesiveness, with the addition of hydroxypropy1-methylcellulose (hypromellose). A method is also described for preparing such a solution for ophthalmic use comprising Biosecur® or a composition based on flavonoid-rich citrus extracts, in liposomal form, wherein the liposomes have a size smaller than 200 nm.

    Abstract: A lipophilic composition for an eye contour gel, with a soothing and cleansing action on the eyelid waterline and the periocular area indicated for the treatment of blepharitis or similar diseases, comprises: liposomes with a particle size less than one micron, or even less than 200 nm, consisting of non-hydrogenated phospholipids which carry Vitamin A Palmitate, Bisabolol, Tea Tree oil and Vitamin E TPGS, Xanthan gum as a viscosifying, gelling and structuring agent with good wetting capacity, and Ferulic acid which, specifically intercalated in the liposomes, protects Vitamin A Palmitate from degradation. By adding Vitamin E TPGS in the liposome preparation step, Vitamin E is inserted into the phospholipid multilayer, while the hydrophilic part thereof, PEG, remains outside the liposomes. This allows the liposomal structure to increase the ability to coordinate water, since the liposomes with PEG chains outside the structure thereof act as "traps" (WHC, Water Holding Capacity) or as "binders" (WBC, Water Binding Capacity).
