Abstract:
The present disclosure relates generally to a system and method of initiating elevator service by entering an elevator call with a call input device operating a program including a plurality of graphical objects displayed on a graphic user interface, in communication with an elevator system. The method includes the steps: selecting a current floor graphical object from the plurality of graphical objects; and selecting a destination floor graphical object from the plurality of graphical objects.
Abstract:
In one aspect, a method for initiating elevator service by entering an elevator call on a call input device (14) having a plurality of graphical objects (22) displayed on a graphical user interface (20) is provided. The method includes the steps of selecting a first landing graphical object (24) from the plurality of graphical objects, and selecting a second landing graphical object (24) from the plurality of graphical objects. The method also includes selecting a third landing graphical object (24) from the plurality of graphical objects. The method also includes creating an anticipated trip graphical object (26), the anticipated trip graphical object indicating a trip from the third landing to the first landing. The method also includes selecting the anticipated trip graphical object (26) to initiate a hall call and floor call from the third landing to the first landing.
Abstract:
A method for automatically dispatching an elevator 110 based on a user's location is provided. The method includes querying a device 104 to determine a user's source floor and confirming the user's source floor. The method also includes querying the device to suggest the user's destination floor based on a history of destination floors traveled to by the user; and confirming the user's destination floor.
Abstract:
In one aspect, a system is provided including one or more elevator systems (10) and a server (50) for storing the system geographical location of the one or more elevator systems. A mobile device (28) is in communication with the server. The mobile device is configured to display a one or more graphical objects indicative of the one or more elevator systems based in part on the system geographical location of the one or more elevator systems and a device geographical location of the mobile device.
Abstract:
Elevator service disruption information is communicated to passengers in a group elevator system (10). The group elevator system (10) includes a group of elevators (14a, 14b, 14c) operable to transport each of the passengers to one of a plurality of floors (L, F2, F3, F4, F5). A destination entry input device (30, 35) at each floor permits each passenger to enter destination input information. A dispatch controller (20) controls dispatching of the elevators (14a, 14b, 14c) based on the destination input information and determines when elevator service is disrupted. A communication device (30, 35), which is responsive to information from the dispatch controller (20) when elevator service is disrupted, provides to passengers at each floor notice of the service disruption and response instructions related to the elevator service disruption.
