Abstract: A method of wirelessly communicating a packet including a first portion for transmission over a channel of a first transmission type and a second portion for transmission over a channel of a second transmission type. In one aspect, the method includes generating a first signal field indicative of a channel assignment to the first transmission type. The method further includes generating a second signal field indicative of a channel assignment to the second transmission type. The method further includes transmitting, at a same time, the first signal field duplicated over each channel of the first transmission type, and the second signal field duplicated over each channel of the second transmission type.
