摘要: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for interpreting reserved bits and values associated with different releases of a wireless communication protocol. In some implementations, a wireless communication device may determine whether to terminate or continue reception of a physical layer protocol convergence protocol (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) if it detects a reserved bit in the physical layer preamble set to an unsupported value (such as a value different than what is defined by a version or release of the wireless communication protocol supported by the wireless communication device). In some other implementations, a wireless communication device may determine whether to terminate or continue reception of a PPDU if it detects a field in the physical layer preamble set to a reserved value (such as defined by a version or release of the wireless communication protocol supported by the wireless communication device).

摘要: Duplicated physical layer convergence protocol (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) transmission is described for a wireless device with reduced peak-to-average power ratios (PAPR). One example includes obtaining a first sub-PPDU from ta PPDU that includes a data field with data content. A second sub-PPDU may also be obtained by duplicating the PPDU including the data content of the PPDU. At least one of a phase rotation, a phase offset, or a phase ramp is applied to at least a portion of a second set of sub-carrier of a wideband channel. The first sub-PPDU is transmitted on a first set of sub-carriers of the wideband channel and the second sub-PPDU is transmitted on the second set of sub-carriers of the wideband channel.

摘要: Various aspects relate generally to the generation and wireless transmission of a long training field (LTF) and a data field within a 320 MHz or 240 MHz bandwidth channel. The LTF includes an LTF sequence based on a concatenation of a plurality of LTF subsequences, each LTF subsequence being associated with a channel bandwidth less than the total bandwidth of the channel, each of the plurality of LTF subsequences being selectively phase-rotated to reduce a peak-to-average power ratio. Each of the plurality of LTF subsequences may be associated with an LTF designed for an 80 MHz bandwidth channel. The LTF and the data field may then be transmitted in a wireless packet to at least one second wireless communication device via the 320 MHz or 240 MHz bandwidth channel.

摘要: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for wireless communication, and particularly, for generating or receiving a multi-generation physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU). The multi-generation PPDU may concurrently include a first generation-specific preamble based on a first generation of a wireless communication specification (such as that defined by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.11 family of standards) and a second generation-specific preamble based on a second generation of the wireless communication specification in a same transmission. The generation-specific preambles may be generated based on bandwidth portions of a wireless channel that each generation-specific preamble will occupy in the multi-generation PPDU. One or more of the generation-specific preambles may be modified based on an aggregate bandwidth of the multi-generation PPDU. This disclosure includes several options for modifying one or more generation-specific preambles or data fields to accommodate their use in a multi-generation PPDU.

摘要: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for wireless communication that can be used to reduce the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of data transmissions by increasing the degree of randomness with which data is scrambled for transmission over a wireless medium. In some implementations, a transmitting device may determine a set of scrambling initialization bits, and may generate a scrambling sequence based on the set of scrambling initialization bits and an 11th-order polynomial. The transmitting device may provide an indication of the set of scrambling initialization bits in a physical layer convergence protocol (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU). The transmitting device may scramble one or more portions of the PPDU based on the scrambling sequence. The transmitting device may transmit the PPDU over a wireless medium. In some instances, the set of scrambling initialization bits consists of 11 bits, and may be included in a Service field of the PPDU.

摘要: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for implementing a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) protocol in a wireless local area network (WLAN). In some aspects, a first WLAN device may transmit a first HARQ frame to a second WLAN device. The first WLAN device may determine whether a first feedback message received from the second WLAN device includes HARQ acknowledgement information or non-HARQ acknowledgment information. The first feedback message may be a HARQ Block Acknowledgement (H-BA) message having a multi-station Block ACK (M-BA) frame format that includes HARQ acknowledgment information. The first WLAN device may transmit a second HARQ frame to the second WLAN device in response to determining the first feedback message includes the HARQ acknowledgment information. The first WLAN device may transmit a non-HARQ frame in response to determining the first feedback message includes non-HARQ acknowledgement information.

摘要: This disclosure provides systems, methods, apparatus, and computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for relative timing drift correction for distributed multi-user transmissions. In one aspect, a first access point (AP) may receive a first signal from a second AP. The first signal may be associated with a channel sounding procedure to be performed substantially simultaneously by the second AP and the first AP. The first AP may then receive a second signal from the second AP, and prior to a substantially simultaneous transmission by the second AP and the first AP. The second signal may include timing information relative to the first signal. The first AP may determine a start time of the substantially simultaneous transmission at the first AP based on the timing information, and may initiate the substantially simultaneous transmission according to the determined start time.

The apparatus includes a memory that stores instructions and a processor coupled with the memory and configured to execute the instructions to select a dual sub-carrier modulation (DCM) mode or a non-DCM mode. The processor is further configured to select one or more interleaver parameters based on the selection of the DCM mode or the non-DCM mode. The processor is further configured to select a first set of interleaver parameters when the DCM mode is selected and a second set of interleaver parameters, different than the first set of interleaver parameters, when the non-DCM mode is selected. The processor is further configured to apply the one or more interleaver parameters to interleave data of a message. The processor is further configured to provide the message for transmission to a receiving device.
