    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless device may receive a beamformed signal from a transmitting device. The wireless device may estimate a weighted sum based at least in part on one or more coefficients that relate to impairments associated with the transmitting device, a spatial location of the wireless device, and/or the like. The wireless device may determine a cryptographic key based at least in part on a ratio among the plurality of coefficients in the weighted sum, and one or more communications between the wireless device and the transmitting device may be secured based on the cryptographic key. Numerous other aspects are provided.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may monitor sets of decoding candidates over a search space in each monitoring occasion to detect downlink control transmissions. Such a monitoring process may be resource intensive. To reduce the processing power involved in monitoring the control channel, a UE may measure resources associated with the downlink control channel to obtain a quality metric. The UE may compare the quality metric to one or more thresholds and may perform a decoding process on a set of configured decoding candidates for the downlink control channel based on the comparing. In some cases, if the channel quality is relatively good, the UE may perform a list decoding process using a list size less than a maximum list size or may perform partial data tone processing to reduce the processing complexity for some of the decoding candidates.

    Abstract: Techniques are provided for reporting, by a device, positioning-related information to a network entity. In an example, the device receives signaling information of the network entity. The signaling information indicates one or more parameters for a report on a reference signal that is transmitted by a base station. The device also receives multiple propagations of the reference signal upon a transmission of the reference signal by the base station. Based on the signaling information, the device generates the report, where the report comprises a power and a time delay per propagation of the reference signal. The device transmits the report to the network entity, where a position of the device is determined by the network entity based on the report.

    Abstract: IQ impairments compensation in sub-terahertz (sub-THz) communication is disclosed. According to some aspects, a user equipment (UE) determines an estimated in-phase (I) and quadrature phase (Q) impairment of the UE, the IQ impairment of the UE comprising a mismatch of phase and/or amplitude, between an I path and a Q path within an analog receiver circuitry of the UE, and reports the estimated IQ impairment of the UE to a base station (BS). The BS determines a pre-compensation to compensate for the estimated IQ impairment of the UE and uses the determined pre-compensation when transmitting to the UE.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In one example, a transmitting device may identify first and second portions of data to include in a data transmission. The transmitting device may encode the second portion by a configuration of a first subset of resource elements. The transmitting device may transmit, via the data transmission, first signals representative of the first portion over the first subset and one or more second signals over a second subset of resource elements. A receiving device may receive the data transmission and may identify that the one or more second signals include content other than data of the data transmission. The receiving device may decode the first signals in order to identify the first portion and the configuration in order to identify the second portion. The receiving device may refrain from decoding the one or more second signals based on the identifying.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In a wireless communications system, a first user equipment (UE) may receive a message from a second UE via a set of one or more antennas, where a first symbol period and a second symbol period of the message include a duplicated signal, and the first symbol period is immediately prior to the second symbol period in a time domain. The first UE may calculate a correlation between first data included in the first symbol period and second data included in the second symbol period of the message for each antenna of the set of one or more antennas. In some cases, the first UE may power down at least one radio frequency chain based on the result of the calculated correlation satisfying a threshold value.
