Abstract: User equipment (UEs) may operate within a wireless communication network using fewer antennas and/or reduced bandwidth in order to conserve battery power. In order to compensate for the reduced downlink capacity of such UEs, a base station may use repetitions of downlink messages, such as physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) messages. However, such repetition levels are generally associated with a single pattern of monitoring occasions. Base stations may therefore lack flexibility in scheduling downlink messages for different UEs as well as in communicating multiple DCIs to the same UE. Techniques and apparatuses described herein may provide increased flexibility for using multiple monitoring occasion patterns associated with a repetition level for downlink messages. The base station may therefore schedule communications to multiple UEs with different repetition levels to reduce interference. Additionally, the base station may schedule multiple communications to a UE with different repetition levels to reduce latency.

The UE may determine a virtual SRS resource (e.g., may combine the SRS resources indicated in the SRS configuration information), and may transmit one or more SRSs over one or more REs of the virtual SRS resource.

The UE may receive a message configuring a random access occasion and a PUSCH occasion. The UE may transmit a random access preamble according to the random access occasion scheduled in the message. The UE may also transmit a repetition of a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) data of the message corresponding to the random access occasion in each uplink transmission time interval for a defined number of uplink transmission time intervals that occur after the random access occasion.

Abstract: In an aspect, a UE and BS perform a RACH procedure whereby a preamble sequence group for a preamble is associated with a downlink receive capability of the UE. In another aspect, a UE and BS perform a RACH procedure whereby a preamble sequence group is associated with a group-specific RA-RNTI that is used to scramble an associated DCI communication. In another aspect, UEs performing a RACH procedure with a BS via different sets of ROs may monitor the same GC-DCI scrambled with a common RA-RNTI. In another aspect, a UE and BS perform a 2-Step RACH procedure whereby a Msg-A payload includes information indicative of a downlink receive capability level associated with the UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques relate to an early indication, from a base station to a user equipment (UE), that may allow the UE to determine from the first symbol of a synchronization signal block (SSB) if the system information associated with the SSB is intended for the UE. Thus, when the UE receives the indication that the system information is dedicated to the UE, the UE may determine to receive and decode the remaining synchronization signal block, a master information block, a set of control resources, a downlink control channel, and a downlink shared channel to receive the system information. In some cases, the UE may determine that the system information is generic and end decoding during reception of the SSB to conserve computational resources by avoiding unnecessary decoding.

Abstract: In an aspect, a UE identifies a set of RACH opportunities over which to transmit a preamble (e.g., a Msg-A preamble of a 2-Step PRACH procedure). The UE selects a preamble sequence group associated with a repetition level for an uplink message (e.g., a Msg-A payload of a 2-Step PRACH procedure). The UE transmits the preamble to a BS on the identified set of ROs. The BS identifies the repetition level from the preamble. The UE transmits the uplink message to the set of POs in accordance with the repetition level.
