Abstract: Described is a roofing panel system for top-down installation, wherein the roofing panel system comprising a plurality of panels (1) defining an uphill course of panels (2) and a downhill course of panels (3), and wherein each panel (1) comprising a generally rectangular panel body (4) with a lower edge (5), an upper edge (6), a first side edge (16), a second side edge (17), an outer surface (7), and an inner surface (8), a male interlocking edge (9) at the upper edge (6) of the generally rectangular panel body (4), and a female interlocking edge (10) at the lower edge (5) of the generally rectangular panel body (4), and wherein the female interlocking edge (10) of the panels of the uphill course of panels (2) being configured to receive the male interlocking edge (9) of the panels of the downhill course of panels (3).
