Abstract: The present invention provides for effervescent solid compositions for cleaning and/or disinfecting all surfaces in the form of a compressed tablet containing an effervescing component, a germicidal agent, and a non-ionic surfactants, but free of any anionic surfactants, wherein the weight ratio of the basic ingredients to the acidic ingredients of the effervescing component is within a range of from about 1.0 : 1.0 to about 1.0 : 4.0.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a stable cageless self-adhesive block composition and methods of use thereof, the composition containing (a) from about 10% to about 60% by weight of an inorganic sodium salt; (b) from about 15% to about 75% by weight of an anionic surfactant; (c) from about 0.1% to about 10% by weight of an adhesion promoter; (d) from about 0.5% to about 10% of a chelating agent, (e) an anti-oxidant, (f) a dye, and (g) a fragrance, wherein when applied to the walls of a sanitary appliance, said block composition stays adhered to the wall for at least a period of up to 7, 10, 14, 21, 28 or 60 days.

Abstract: The present invention provides a hard surface solid cleaning composition and methods of use thereof, the composition containing: from between 20% to about 75% by weight of a dispersant system; from about 5.0 % to about 20 % by weight of a thickener system, consisting essentially of hydroxypropyl guar gum; from about 1% to about 25% by weight, preferably between 2% to about 12% of a non- ionic surfactant system; and from about 2 % to about 50 % by weight of a biocide system, wherein when dissolved in an aqueous solvent, the resulting composition provides a viscosity ranging from 80 cP to 2000 cP. The Invention is also directed to articles and containers for storage, mixing and use of such compositions.
