Abstract: The present application relates to a water system that includes a prefabricated fitting tee for use with a water heater. The prefabricated fitting tee includes a fitting tee body that has a first port, a second port, and a third port. The first and third ports can be aligned along a main axis and the second port can be aligned along an axis angled relative to the main axis. The fitting tee body defines an interior passageway that is in fluid communication with the first, second, and third ports. One of the first and second ports is configured for connecting to a water inlet conduit for supplying water from an external source, the other one of the first and second ports is configured for connecting to a pressure relief or pressure absorption mechanism. The prefabricated fitting tee does not include a check valve for preventing flow from the first port to the third port and no check valve for preventing flow from the second port to the third port. A swivel nut can be rotatably mounted at the third port of the prefabricated fitting tee to provide an interconnection to the water heater. When the swivel nut is in a first condition, the swivel nut allows the prefabricated fitting tee to be rotated relative to the water heater about the main axis to allow a rotational orientation of the second port to be established. When the swivel nut is in a second condition, the swivel nut clamps the prefabricated fitting tee in the established rotational orientation.

Abstract: A covering is provided to cover an opening in a surface through which a tubular member extends. The covering includes a base of a predetermined thickness and which is larger in diameter than the tubular member. The base defines an aperture which coincides with a central axis of the base. The base has a medial portion which tapers such that an outer diameter of the medial portion exceeds an inner diameter of the medial portion adjacent to the aperture. The aperture coincides with a central axis of the medial portion. A ring is disposed between the inner diameter of the medial portion and the aperture. A plurality of teeth are arranged circumferentially around the ring away from the medial portion, are spaced from each other and project inward from the medial portion, and are structured to grip the tubular member so as to secure the tubular member in place.

Abstract: The present application relates to fire rated cleanout covers that can be designed to restore and maintain a fire-rating of a constructed wall assembly. The fire rated cleanout covers can be attached directly to cleanout tees to eliminate the need to secure a separate base component to a wall. Intumescent material can be pre-incorporated with the fire rated cleanout covers prior to installation of the fire rated cleanout covers. As such, the intumescent material can be carried with the fire rated cleanout cover when the fire rated cleanout cover is in use. The fire rated cleanout covers allow an installer to reuse the fire rated cleanout covers after maintenance or cleaning without reapplying the intumescent material to restore the fire rating of the wall.

Abstract: An improved cap and assembly is provided for a poured concrete deck. The improved assembly has a diaphragm seal over-molded to a top plate having a depending sidewall that is snap-fit to a base containing a fire ring. A tubular sleeve is connected to the over-molded top plate by snap fit connections to the sidewall and by threaded fasteners passing through sockets in the sleeve, sidewall and base. The over-molded diaphragm has a funnel shape. A first sleeve cap has depending positioning tabs that may be broken off to adjust the cap height relative to the sleeve, with an inwardly extending latching surface engaging the sleeve when the tabs are removed. A second cap has inwardly extending tabs that fit into channels on the sleeve fit between ridges on the sleeve when rotated to adjustably position the second cap on the sleeve.

Abstract: A bracket holds a rigid or flexible tube during the pouring of a concrete slab. The bracket has a base and a housing connected to the base. The tube curves around a first tube support on the housing before passing through an opening in the bottom of the housing. The tube and any members inside the tube are cut off so they end inside the housing and are then covered by a housing cap. The base is fastened to a form for the concrete slab. The height of the housing relative to the base is adjusted to place the cap at the planned surface of the concrete slab. After the concrete slab is formed the cap is removed and the cut members inside the housing are connected to other members or devices.
