Abstract: System for monitoring assets transfer and storage, such as banknotes bundles, including: - containers including means for categorizing and checking the assets; - control means for contactlessly controlling the content of the containers; - transfer means for transferring the containers from one place to another; and - main processing means for automatically operating and monitoring the containers, the control means and the transfer means. The corresponding method consists of: - defining N categories each including a fixed number of banknotes bundles of n types of banknotes, and - assigning an ID to each container in accordance with the category assigned to the specific association of banknote bundles it is supposed to contain.
