摘要: A method and a system (100) for the functionalization of polyolefin fiber (102), whereby the system (100) includes a reactor chamber (110), a fiber pulley system (120), and a precursor sprinkler system (130), the reactor chamber (110) defines an interior reactor space and a plurality of fiber inlet/outlet pairs (114) positioned at opposite ends of respective fiber processing axes (116). The fiber pulley system (120) is arranged to direct polyolefin fiber (102) through the plurality of fiber inlet/outlet pairs (114), along a fiber processing path comprising the respective fiber processing axes (116). The precursor sprinkler system (130) is operable to aerosolize a precursor solution and contact the aerosolized precursor solution with the polyolefin fiber (102).

摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed. A method includes obtaining component identification information associated with a composite component. The method includes obtaining sensor data of the composite component, the sensor data of the composite component indicates a position of one or more nanoparticles, the one or more nanoparticles are at least one of deposited on the composite component and embedded within the composite component. The method includes identifying a first reference entry of a plurality of reference entries in a reference database corresponding to the component identification information, the first reference entry indicates a reference position of the one or more nanoparticles. The method includes executing a digital image correlation between the sensor data and the first reference entry of the plurality of reference entries. The method includes determining a damage value of the composite component based on the digital image correlation between the sensor data and the first reference entry.

摘要: A system (100) is disclosed for three-dimensional printing of multi- directional woven components with hierarchical z-axis reinforcements using p re-impregnated FRP materials. The exemplary 3D printing system includes a primary extrusion nozzle system (160) and a secondary extrusion needle system (170) supported by a multi-axis truss (150). The primary extrusion nozzle system is comprised of at least two sub-extruders and rotation mechanisms (130, 330) for controllably rotating the extrusion nozzle and rotating the two-sub extruders. The extrusion nozzle assembly and the two sub-extruders can be controllably and independently rotated to extrude a braided yarn with a precise fiber-spacing. Additionally, a separate extrusion needle is provided for vertical interpenetration of the needle into the braided workpiece such that material can be extruded at precise depth through side-facing needle openings thereby providing z-axis reinforcement to the workpiece.
