Abstract: A portable apparatus for shearing workpieces has a housing (12) defining an interior (24) to enclose a cutting head assembly (20) during storage. During use, an actuator (38) erects the cutitng head into an operative position and the cover (16) of the housing defines a planar work surface adjacent to the cutting head fixed thereto.
