Abstract: An ophthalmic composition containing a linear polymer such as hyaluronic acid optionally in the form of salt, a branched polymer such as xanthan gum optionally in the form of salt in combination with at least one osmoprotector, is provided herein. The composition of the invention finds application in the treatment of eye diseases.
