Abstract: :A lighting device comprises multiple modules each having an array of LED chip connection pads. Interconnections between the pads provide groups of connection pads, each group comprising a parallel set of connection pads, and the groups being in series witheach other. An optical unit is provided for shaping the light output from LED chips mounted on the pads. The groups are defined to minimize an overall spacing of the pads within the groups (in combination) to provide a best possible color mixing for the LEDs mounted on the connection pads.

Abstract: A lens plate has an array of lenslets. A first surface comprises a plurality of individual cells, each cell delimiting one side of a respective lenslet of the array. A second opposite surface comprises a set of grooves, each groove delimiting a second, opposite side, of a sub-array of the lenslets of the array of lenslets. The array of lenslets is a circular array comprising a plurality of concentric rings. Each ring comprises a plurality of straight segments, and each segment comprises multiple said lenslets arranged in a row. The lens plate design thus combines grooves on one side which cover multiple lenslets and a cellular lens structure on the opposite side.

Abstract: A lighting system has a set of linear lighting elements and a set of suspension elements. Each suspension element comprises an upper fixing part and a lower connection part facing downwardly for making electrical and mechanical connection to an upward facing connector on a top face of an end of a linear lighting element. This enables a simple a push fit connection of the lighting elements to the suspension elements, after they have been suspended from a support structure above them.
