Abstract: Provided is a process for manufacturing an electrochemical cell. The process comprises providing an assembly including electrodes separated by a separator. The separator is permeable to an electrolyte dissolved in a solvent. The process further comprises wetting the assembly in an electrolyte bath, the electrolyte bath containing the electrolyte dissolved in the solvent and saturating the assembly with the electrolyte. After removing superfluous solvent from the assembly, the process is continued with encasing the assembly.
