Abstract: The invention relates to a razor or razor blade cartridge (1) including at least one razor blade (3) and a housing (5) made from a polymer material and comprising an outer surface wherein at least part of the outer surface of the housing is coated with a hydrophilic material (11), and the outer surface of the housing comprises undulations (12) on at least a portion of the coated part. The outer surface is preferably a vinylmonomer such as an acrylamide. The undulations or texturing are formed by etching or other methods of micromachining and result in greater adhesion of the coating to the outer surface and improved friction properties.
