Abstract: An implement handle (10) includes an axially elongated core member (12) having a varying cross-sectional outer dimension, and an outer polymeric shell (14) having axially-oriented substantially-continuous strength members (28), the outer shell (14) enclosing and being bonded to the core (12) and of substantially uniform thickness. The handle may include a wood core and a bendable portion (16) integral with the shell, the bendable portion being adapted to fit within a handle socket (60) of a tool (62).
